There are 12 Data Request Available On the left side of the control screen you can request up to 12 data files and or charts. In the example shown at the right, 4 data files are requested and charts are requested for two of them. Number of Bars You can request up to 1000 historical bars. If you are wanting to see the charts you may want to reduce this number to about 200 so that the bars are easy to see. If you are using the data in another project, you may want to set this to 1000. The performance of the system will not be affected by this setting. Time Frames Per Bar This is the number of minutes in minute bars, The number of hours in hour bars or the number of days in day bars. As an example to request 5 minute bar data you would set this value to 5. For 30 minute bars you would set it to 30. Time Frame Set this to MIN for minutes, HOUR for hours or DAY for daily bars. The top setting in the image at the right shows a setting for 250 1 day bars. Chart If you want to see the charts you can check this checkbox. In the example at the right, charts will be shown for the top two requests. The data will be generated for all four requests. |

Auto Run Check Box If you check this box, BitCoinData will start requesting data automatically when the BitCoinData program is started. If this is not checked, you will need to click on the 'Run' button to start the data collection and chart generation.. Auto Loop Check Box When you check this box, the program will run in a continuous loop. It will wait 50 seconds between updates which you can monitor with the small blue progress bar found right above the 'Run' button. Select a BitCoin Symbol In this pull down text box you can select a single BitCoin symbol. The symbol is made up of the BitCoin exchange name followed by the currency you would like to use. The busiest exchange is currently the mtgox US Dollar selection (mtgoxUSD). This is the program fault. |

Time Adjust (Hours) You can enter a number of hours here. The number of hours can have a plus or minus value. By default the hour setting is set to -5 which will make the data and charts adjust to US Eastern Time Zone. If you leave this blank no time adjustment will be made and the time will be exactly as it is sent from the exchanges. Data File Location BitCoinData will allow you to send the data to any folder you like. This is so that you can use the data in your own applications. If you do not need the data for another application we suggest you leave it at the default setting which is a folder under the BitCoinData application folder. The folder is named \DataFiles\. Select New Data File Folder You can click on this text to change the default data file location as described above. Go to Data Folder This link will open Windows Explorer and show you your data files in your chosen data file folder. User Name When you subscribe or purchase the BitCoinData Program, you will be taken to Nebadawn, Inc.'s payment system. This payment system is at a site with the URL www.Ramp-Member-Area.com . This is the payment and sign in system for BitCoinData as well as other programs written by Andy Skinner at Nebadawn, Inc. |

If BitCoinData will not work as expected or fails to run as it had in the past it is possible that you have a corrupt data file. BitCoinData is written so that you can completely delete all files in the \BitCoinData\ application folder and it will be rebuilt with all new data the next time you run the program from your desktop. This button will tell you how to rebuild the folder. |
